PTB VISITS MCY TO MENTOR INDUSTRIAL PLACEMENT STUDENTS FROM IBTE

PTB Training Manager & MF Trainer William Marquez, Safety Coordinator Zulhazmi Zainal Abbidin and trainees together with representatives from RTOs and IBTE.
On the 25th of May 2023, a team consisting of representatives from Pakar Tenaga Bersatu together with other RTOs and IBTE paid a visit to MCY (Marine Construction Yard). The aim of their visit was to meet with the Industrial Placement students Intake 4 from IBTE who were currently undergoing their attachment at MESB (Massutera Engineering Sdn Bhd) and to assess the student’s progress and provide them with valuable advice to ensure they achieve their targets.
One of the notable attendees was the Managing Director of MESB. During the visit, PTB engaged discussions with the students, focusing on their experiences, challenges and overall progress in their industrial placement. PTB took a keen interest in understanding the students’ work environment, skills developed and the level of integration within the company.
The visit served as an opportunity for PTB together with other RTOs and IBTE to closely monitor the progress of the Intake 4 students, ensuring that they were gaining practical knowledge and skills that align with their academic studies. In addition, this also allowed PTB to evaluate the effectiveness of the Industrial Placement program at MESB.
